The Dog Public House is far from Demolished. I was in there today and it was very much a going concern and a very nice place to boot with roaring log fires.

Windmills is a bustling new centre for Smethwick and provides the area’s only multiple retail site. Windmills Shopping Centre offers an attractive, safe, clean environment where you will find all you require under one roof. In the “Market stalls” area, you’ll even find Kids Zone, a series of free rides for children. Windmills shopping centre is located in the heart of Cape Hill, Smethwick, we have an exceptional mix of retails from ASDA, Carphone Warehouse, Peacocks, Matalan & JJB Sports.

Relatively new two-level station for Smethwick. Lower level is served by Birmingham commuter services from New Street, which also call at Smethwick Rolfe Street. Higher level sees more trains and is on the line from Snow Hill to Kidderminster.

Central station for Smethwick, served by Birmingham commuter services from New Street, currently provided by central trains but soon to be London Midland. All trains also call at Galton Bridge station which also serves the line from Snow Hill to Kidderminster.
